Saddle Stitched Booklets - Catalogs
Booklet terminology can be confusing so when requesting a
booklet - catalog quote please be aware of the following:
Booklet Size - is the finished size of the book when it is put together.
Spine Size - the length of the spine.
Self Cover - the paper and ink colors used throughout the book including
the front and back cover are all the same.
Plus Cover - the paper and/or the ink colors used on the front and back
cover are different from the interior pages.
The number of pages - Booklets are made up of sheets of paper folded in
half. Each sheet of paper folded in half will yield 4 pages. All
Saddle Stitched booklets must be printed in multiples of 4. You can
have an 8 page booklet or a 12 page booklet but you can't have a 10 page
booklet. It does not matter that some of the pages in the book are
blank they still must be considered as part of the total quantity of
pages.
Include the cover pages in the total number of pages for your
project. We will know that if you want a Plus Cover Booklet the Cover
will take up 4 pages out of the total number of pages. If you want a 16
Page Plus Cover Booklet it includes 4 cover pages and 12 interior pages.
